There is ample accommodation in the area for all those spectators and participants who will require it over the weekend. The conurbation of Tyneside has many Hotels with a wide range of prices. Accommodation in the city centre and Hotels situated on Osborne Road in Jesmond and in Gosforth are ideal for those wishing to combine their stay with a taste of city culture and restaurants offering excellent cuisine. There are a number of Hotels and Guest Houses in the north and out towards the NW of the city which offer good value and more peaceful surrounds as well as being close to all of the events and accessible for the countryside. This accommodation includes two Travel Inn Hotels at Woolsington and at Newcastle Airport. There are also other Hotels adjacent to the airport. Northumberland is a beautiful unspoilt County with thousands of miles of country roads and lanes that are traffic free. Why not extend your stay to the area and cycle up the Coast to Bamburgh and its famous castle which has been used for many epic films. There are also many other beautiful sights up this coastal route. Inland you can cycle up to Bellingham and other unspoilt villages in the North Tyne Valley. There are some magnificent roads for cycling and plenty of climbs for those that enjoy the challenge. Church House is a 17th century, grade 2 listed, stone house facing the green in the picturesque village of Stamfordham, ideal for the Cyclone event. Accommodation comprises 3 twin bedded rooms at £60 per room ( £35 for single occupancy ) with family bathroom and there are a further 2 toilets and a shower room. Each room has it's own coloured tv and hospitality tray, including some home made cake on arrival.
